You share the codebase

Repo access and a short call about what the site needs to do. If there is no code yet, we start from the goals.

I run the review

A real read of the code and the running site, not a checklist. You get a prioritized plan and a fixed quote for the build.

We agree the scope in writing

The exact pages, components, and price, before any code is written. A change to scope is its own small quote.

I build and hand off

React web development done in the open, with regular check-ins. You end with clean, documented code and a walkthrough, whether I keep supporting it or not.

A Few Things People Ask

Can you just redesign my whole site for a flat fee?

Not sight unseen. A flat fee on an unknown codebase is how projects go badly for both of us. The review gives me enough to quote a real fixed price, and that price holds.

What if I already have designs?

Then we skip the design step and I build from them. The review and the fixed-scope quote work the same way.

Do you work in React only, or other stacks too?

Whatever the project already runs on. React is where I am fastest, but the review tells us whether keeping your existing stack or moving off it is the better call.

What happens after the build?

You own clean, documented code that any competent developer can pick up. Ongoing support is available if you want it, never required.

How do you handle scope creep?

The scope is written down before I start. New requests during the build get their own short quote rather than quietly expanding the original one. Nobody is surprised at the end.
